Elizabeth I Gown
Role
Costume Designer and Illustrator
Location
Highcliffe Castle Museum
Date
January - June 2022
In my final unit at university, Sophie Whealy and I worked together to design and produce a stunning gown inspired by Elizabeth I's fashion from the 1570s and 1580s. The costume embodies themes of power and authority, featuring a rich colour palette, striking jewellery, and a dramatic silhouette.
Using Hollywood rendering techniques in Adobe Photoshop, I created a costume illustration that laid the foundation for the dress. The final product was brought to life by Sophie Whealy, while Jess Ovenden modelled it to perfection.
